Consignment agreement

1. Subject

The owner (consignor) instructs dns.legal (consignee) to sell the specified domain in its own name for the owner’s account.

2. Net price and remuneration

The owner receives the agreed net price. Any proceeds above it belong to the operator as remuneration; no further fees are charged to the owner. The operator sets the asking price and sales method; no sale below the net price takes place.

3. Deposit

The owner transfers the domain to the registrar account designated by the operator. Until the sale the owner remains the beneficial owner. Renewal costs during consignment are borne by the owner unless agreed otherwise.

4. Warranties

The owner warrants being entitled to dispose of the domain and that it is free of third-party rights, and indemnifies the operator against third-party claims.

5. Anonymity and payout

The buyer does not learn the owner’s name. The net price is paid to the registered account after completion of the sale (payment received and transfer confirmed), subject to identity verification if required. The owner receives a credit note.

6. Termination

The owner may end the consignment at any time as long as no sale has been initiated; the operator then transfers the domain back.

7. Taxes

VAT treatment depends on the law of the operator’s seat and the owner’s status (private individual or business).
